Fabrice is Alive

In the heart of Amsterdam, a city as vibrant and colorful as its art, lived Fabrice Hünd, a true bird of paradise. His life was a beautiful mosaic of passion, creativity and connection. He was not just an artist; he was a phenomenon, a reflection of the soul of Amsterdam, which he embraced with love and sometimes with a critical eye. Fabrice’s art is steeped in eroticism and zest for life.

A few months ago we were approached by Fabrice’s two daughters to organize an exhibition of his works. Fabrice was a fan of the GO Gallery and his daughters used to visit him there as toddlers.

Isabel and Lise: “As fabrice Hünd’s daughters, we remember sitting on the back of his bicycle, surrounded by the smells of paint and silicone, as he guided us through Amsterdam’s vibrant art landscape. Fabrice was a remarkable figure – humorous, unique and a beloved mentor, who taught us to approach the world with love and openness. In the heart of Amsterdam lived Fabrice, a true artistic soul and a bird of paradise, whose life and art were intertwined with the spirit of the city. His work, full of eroticism and zest for life, and his role as a teacher, connected and inspired.”

Now, 2½ years after his sudden passing, we honor his legacy with an exhibition at the GO Gallery in Amsterdam, celebrating a man whose spirit of connection and love of life continues to inspire. Fabrice’s essence lives on in his vibrant art and in the hearts of all who knew him, inviting all to see the world through his colorful lens.

There is a huge collection of sketches, drawings and paintings. A small collection has been selected for display in the GO Gallery.

After more than 25 years and more than 300 exhibitions, Oscar van der Voorn and Farud Cambatta consider it a huge honor to close the GO Gallery with the exhibition “Fabrice is Alive”.

Opening of the exhibition: Saturday, June 8, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
