‘SECOND’ UrbanPop

After his successfull exhibition “Inside  / Outside” in 20 12together with the collective “Zeitfurdrips”, and  a new collection  almost one year later, Second shows his new artworks  “UrbanPop” in GO Gallery together with PeintreX. All Claus Tormöhlen artworks are signed with his artist name ‘second’. With this name he refers to the profound stories in his artworks. These stories allows the viewer a ‘second’ view behind the actual image in his artworks.  His style is ‘Urban Pop Art’. In his artworks he combines stencils and prints in different levels, which he advance with freehand spray can painting. His signature cap is the ‘needle cap’ with a full range of drips and colour coatings. Together with quotations regarding to current events of the day his artworks create this typical context. NL Claus Tormöhlen signeert zijn werk met de naam ‘second’. Met deze naam verwijst hij naar de diepzinnige verhalen in zijn kunstwerken. Met een ‘second’ view wordt  de kijker in de gelegenheid gesteld om het verhaal achter het eigenlijke kunstwerk te zien. Hij noemt zijn stijl ‘Urban Pop Art’. In zijn werk combineert hij stencils met prints, in verschillende lagen over elkaar heen, afgewerkt met details van spuitverf.
