SCARS & HYPES, by Davor ‘DEESASTER’ Smoljan, 4 July 2015

On Saturday The Fourth of July, GO Gallery opens the exhibition ‘SCARS & HYPES’.

It’s a personal tale of the artists Davor ‘DEESASTER’ Smoljan about the influences from contemporary America. Images and stories ranging from cartoon classics such as Mickey Mouse, the assassination of John Kennedy and all the way to the modern time decay of ‘Neon Las Vegas’ all play an important part in this visual storytelling. All artworks are set in a new context or have been isolated into a single view. A view that tells the tale of two sides to every story. One of origin and one of endurance through time.
